2. Scope

These terms govern purchases made on rual.store. Customers buying as consumers enjoy the protections of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) and of the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence, which no clause in these terms can reduce. The terms published at the moment the order is sent apply.

3. Products

RUAL garments and fabrics are designed, cut and sewn by hand in very small runs. Slight differences in colour, texture or finish between one piece and another, or compared with the photographs, are part of the handmade process and are not defects.

Availability of each size and colour is updated in real time. If, after the order, an item nevertheless turns out to be unavailable, the customer is informed and refunded in full.

Made-to-measure work (curtains, upholstery, home textiles) cannot be bought through the cart: it is agreed directly with the workshop, with a dedicated quote.

4. Prices

Prices are in euro and include VAT. Shipping costs are shown before the order is confirmed. Amounts shown in other currencies are for reference only: the charge is always made in euro.

5. Account and order

A personal account, created with email and password, is required to purchase. The contract is concluded when the payment is authorised. Immediately afterwards the customer receives a confirmation email with the order number and a summary of products, prices, shipping costs and delivery address. Orders remain available in the personal area.

6. Payment

Payment is made online through Stripe, by credit or debit card and with the other methods offered on the payment page. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never seen or stored by RUAL. The charge may appear on the bank statement under the seller’s company name.

For shipments outside the European Union, any customs duties and import taxes are payable by the recipient. Products travel at the seller’s risk until delivery.

On receipt, please check the parcel and, if it is visibly damaged, accept it “with reservation”, telling the courier. Transport damage, missing items or items different from those ordered should be reported to info@rual.it within 2 days of arrival, with a photo of the parcel, so that we can open a claim with the courier straight away. The legal guarantee described in section 10 always remains in force.

8. Right of withdrawal

Consumers may withdraw from the purchase, without giving any reason, within 14 days of the day they receive the products (art. 52 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code).

• How: by writing to info@rual.it before the deadline, also using the form below.
• Return: within 14 days of the notice, with products intact, unused, unwashed and with their labels, to Via Palmiro Togliatti 17, 70015 Noci (BA), Italia. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
• Refund: within 14 days of the withdrawal notice, using the same payment method, including the standard delivery costs paid at purchase. The refund may be withheld until the products are received or until the customer provides proof of having sent them.
• Products damaged by use: the customer is liable only for any loss in value caused by handling beyond simply trying the garment on.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to measure or personalised at the customer’s request (art. 59(c)). An unused gift card can be cancelled and refunded within 14 days of purchase.

9. Gift cards

The gift card has the amount chosen by the buyer, within the limits shown on the site. The code arrives by email after payment and can be used on rual.store over one or more orders, until the credit runs out. It cannot be exchanged for cash or used to buy other gift cards. If a payment fails, the credit used becomes available again on the card. The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

10. Legal guarantee

Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity under art. 128 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code: the seller is liable for defects existing at the time of delivery that become apparent within two years. The defect must be reported to info@rual.it within two months of its discovery. Depending on the case, the customer is entitled to repair or replacement of the product, or to a price reduction or a refund. The natural characteristics of handmade work described in section 3 are not defects.

11. Complaints and disputes

Complaints and requests for assistance should be sent to info@rual.it and are answered within 3 working days. The contract is governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory protections of the consumer’s country of residence. For disputes with a consumer, the court of the place where the consumer resides or is domiciled has jurisdiction. Consumers may also turn to an alternative dispute resolution body (art. 141 et seq. of the Italian Consumer Code).
